BRĒZ is looking for a dynamic and strategic Director of E-Commerce to lead our DTC growth and digital experience. This role is responsible for developing and executing e-commerce strategies that drive revenue, enhance customer experience, and optimize site performance. The ideal candidate will blend high-level strategic thinking with hands-on execution—overseeing everything from website management and conversion optimization to retention strategies and performance analytics. With a deep understanding of digital marketing, UX, and e-commerce best practices, this leader will play a pivotal role in scaling BRĒZ’s online presence and ensuring a seamless, high-converting customer journey.


Duties and Responsibilities

E-Commerce Strategy & Management:

  • Own and execute the DTC e-commerce strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and revenue objectives.
  • Balance high-level strategy with hands-on execution to scale BRĒZ’s digital presence.
  • Collaborate with acquisition, retention, and campaign teams to create a seamless customer journey.
  • Oversee site management, performance, and scalability for an optimized shopping experience.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to enhance AOV, pricing, bundles, subscriptions, upsells, and cross-sells.
  • Test and refine landing page strategies to optimize customer acquisition costs.
  • Develop new landing pages, presales materials, listicles, and advertorials to drive engagement and conversion.
  • Continuously A/B test and optimize assets to enhance performance.

Technical Leadership & Site Optimization:

  • Partner with developers, designers, and tech vendors to maintain and enhance website architecture, integrations, and payment systems.
  • Improve site speed, security, mobile responsiveness, and overall UX to drive conversions.
  • Optimize and integrate third-party tools to enhance personalization and retention.
  • Implement SEO and performance marketing best practices to improve organic traffic and paid efficiency.

Customer Experience & UX:

  • Analyze customer behavior and heatmaps to remove friction points and enhance the shopping experience.
  • Lead A/B testing and experimentation to optimize site structure, CTAs, merchandising, and checkout flow.
  • Ensure digital experiences reflect the brand’s identity while balancing functionality and storytelling.
  • Optimize product pages, cart flow, and checkout to improve conversion and retention.

Data-Driven Insights & Performance Tracking:

  • Own e-commerce analytics, tracking key KPIs and using data-driven insights to improve performance.
  • Implement personalization and segmentation strategies to drive engagement and repeat purchases.
  • Regularly report performance metrics, identifying opportunities for scale and efficiency.

Revenue Optimization & Lifecycle Growth:

  • Work closely with retention teams (email, SMS, subscriptions, loyalty) to increase repeat purchases and LTV.
  • Optimize pricing, promotions, and product launches to sustain revenue growth without over-discounting.
  • Enhance post-purchase experiences, including upsells, cross-sells, and loyalty programs.
  • Align DTC growth strategies with broader brand marketing campaigns.

Marketing & Campaign Collaboration:

  • Partner with campaign managers to integrate e-commerce into product launches, promotions, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Ensure e-commerce supports brand storytelling and paid media strategies.
  • Leverage insights from testing and conversion data to inform creative and campaign planning.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Build and lead a high-performing e-commerce team, managing both in-house talent and agency partners.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, creative, operations, and finance to align business goals.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and e-commerce innovations to maintain BRĒZ’s competitive edge.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Conversion Rate: Measures the percentage of visitors who complete a desired action.
  • Click-Through Rate (CTR) from Presales to Landing Pages: Tracks the effectiveness of presales content in driving traffic.
  • Add-to-Cart (ATC) Percentage: Assesses the rate at which users add products to their cart after viewing.
  • Subscription Take Rate: Quantifies the percentage of users who opt into a subscription service.
  • Upsell Take Rate: Evaluates the success of upselling strategies in increasing order value.
  • Revenue Per Visitor (RPV): Measures the average revenue generated per visitor.


Supervisor Responsibilities

Carry out supervisory responsibilities that align with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees and assisting with planning, assigning, and directing work; celebrating and coaching employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Provides regular performance feedback and coaching to direct reports including reviews.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in e-commerce, DTC, or digital marketing with a strong track record in driving revenue growth.
  • Proficiency in Shopify, analytics tools (Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics), and CRO strategies.
  • Deep knowledge of paid media, SEO, email/SMS marketing, and A/B testing.
  • Strong grasp of UX/UI, site performance optimization, and customer journey mapping.
  • Experience managing teams, agencies, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Ability to balance strategy with execution in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field preferred.
  • Excellent relationship-building, and communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills, ability to tailor messaging to the audience
  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written.
  • Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Experience in the beverage, CPG, or cannabis industries is a plus.
